La Molina National Agrarian University y El Huerto

Location:
Lima, Peru

El Huerto is the vegetable crops research program of Agraria La Molina University. Its main goal is to promote growing and consumption of different crops, to develop appropriate technologies, and to promote the use and recycling of local resources in order to pursue sustainable agriculture. At El Huerto (as members of Agronomy faculty) we teach curricular classes, run workshops of environmental education for kids and the community, home gardening promotion, and also make organic agriculture research in our 27 acres of experimental area. Most of our products are commercialized with the people of La Molina.
