A training and educational organization created in 1990 by professional organizations and the Ministry of Agriculture, SESAME develops cross-cultural and professional exchanges between farmers worldwide. For all young farmers or candidates who want to increase their vocational education by training abroad, SESAME offers more than 40 destinations in many agricultural categories. SESAME develops exchange programs with 70 foreign partners in more than 40 countries and works closely with a network of educational and agricultural advisers in France and French territories.

In June, program manager Leah Atwood attended MESA’s second Ecuadorian Alumni Reunion. Over 25 Steward alumni from eight different provinces were there, traveling up to 12 hours to reach the highlands of Riobamba.
