Michael Fields Agricultural Research Institute is a nonprofit organization devoted to the development of sustainable farming. Since 1984, Michael Fields has been committed to developing an agriculture that can sustain the land and its resources through a wide range of programs and techniques. MFAI research is currently focused on three main areas: developing and testing biodynamic methods, studying organic matter and root health, and breeding high quality corn for sustainable farming. MFAI’s mission is to cultivate the ecological, social, economic, and spiritual vitality of food and farming systems through education, research, policy and market development.
